William Bourdon

Biography
William Bourdon was the lawyer for French detainees Nizar Sassi and Mourad Benchellali, and assisted in their release back to France in 2004. He also represented the men when they were prosecuted and convicted of criminal association with a terrorist organization in 2007. Their convictions were appealed and overturned in 2009. In 2014, Bourdon joined with the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights in filing a case in French court against the U.S. for torture on behalf of Sassi and Benchellali.
