Mohammed Mazouz (also identified as Mohammed Mizouz) was born in Casablanca, Morocco in December 31, 1973. He was captured in Pakistan and sold to the Americans, who held him in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and then Bagram, Afghanistan. On June 13, 2002, he was transferred to Guantanamo Bay. Mazouz was released to Morocco on July 31, 2004. Mazouz was convicted in September 2007 by the Moroccan government for post-release involvement in a terrorist network, for which he received a two-year sentence.
