By June 2010, there had only been three trials in the history of Guantanamo. David Hicks got a nine-month sentence, essentially a misdemeanor; Salim Hamdan got a five and a half month sentence. In Guantanamo, if you lose in court and are convicted as a war criminal, you might get to go home.
