Biography
Kent Svendson (born in 1952 in Illinois) is a chaplain and a major in the Army Reserves. He has previously served in the Navy and National Guard. Svendsen served as chaplain for the military police battalion in Guantanamo from May 2004 to March 2005. He worked inside Camp Delta directly for the commanding officer, Colonel Brice Gyurisco, and for the troops. Svendsen has since retired from the Army Reserve, and now resides in Illinois working as a United Methodist Minister and Evangelist.
