We had an opportunity to set an example for the world- had we treated and tried detainees fairly. Instead, a decade later we’re still struggling with the military commissions, and we made no effort to de-radicalize those released. At the time of September 11, there were 2-400 members of Al Qaeda, and now there are thousands.
