Christopher Arendt bio

Christopher Arendt is a former prison guard at Guantanamo. He joined the Michigan National Guard in November 2001 at the age of 17, and was deployed to Guantanamo in January 2004. After finishing his tour in 2008, he has given public testimony about his experience at Guantanamo, and the mistreatment of detainees. He now resides in Portland, Oregon, where he has organized the local chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War and assembled Motorcycle Awesome, an arts collective meant to open dialogue between veterans and civilians.
