Kauvser Hakimjan is the sister of former Guantanamo Bay detainee Adil Hakimjan. Ms. Hakimjan is originally from China, but left due to its extreme birth control policies. From China, she moved first to Pakistan and later to Sweden where she currently resides. She was reunited with Adil after he was transferred from Guantanamo Bay prison to Albania in 2006, and later granted asylum in Sweden in 2009.
