After 9/11, he fled toward Pakistan and was arrested at the Afghanistan-Pakistan border by Pakistani armed forces. Mohamed was transferred to U.S. custody in Kandahar on December 30, 2001, and was moved to Guantanamo Bay on January 14, 2002. Mohamed was released to Morocco October, 11 2006.
